Transportation Centers

This week we are expanding our Transportation Theme printables.

To get you started, I’ve found some fabulous ideas that can be use in independent centers, plus a few free printables.

Pretend Play
A transportation unit really is just begging for some pretend fun.  So, go through your house to collect some toy cars, trains, boats and planes.  Just let your kiddo have fun pretending.  If you have a car rug, make sure you pull it out too!  Of course, train sets are always a plus.

Fine Motor
This is a great activity for not only working on fine motor skills, but shapes as well.  Print the shapes on cardstock, laminate and cut out for your kiddo.  Then let them match the shapes for the different vehicle mats.

Stamping
We love doing stamping strips in our house.  Don’t forget to do this activity you will need uppercase or lowercase stamps and an ink pad.

Hope you have fun.

Thanks.  I’ll look into it.  I suggestion making the shape you’re missing with construction paper for now.

Thanks for the stamping page.  I will be using this one with some of my students and using Homeschool Creations Read, Build (only we will stamp), and Write with some of my students who are ready for that.  This way I can differentiate in my classroom for kids with different needs.
