Tot School- Wk of Nov 2nd

Lil’man is 22 months
Tot School

This week I finally created a spooning activity using some items that we already had at the house. (Tbsp, baby wipe container, foam beads) Lil’man hasn’t been feeding himself as well as he has in the past.  I am not sure why this is the case, but I thought he would benefit from some spooning activities.  He still is using both hands, even though at times I think he may have a dominant left hand.

Even though I didn’t get it posted this week, we also did our stART activity.  Since we didn’t do too many pumpkin activities last month, we created a 3D pumpkin using cotton balls.  We didn’t have any orange paint, so we did a quick color mixing lesson.  Lil’man was very excited to create ORANGE!  It is his favorite color these days.

On Thursday we had a play date.  We went to an indoor playroom.  We have been there one other time, but this was the first time Lil’man actually went into the large Noah’s Ark juggle gym.  He loved it.  His favorite part was climbing through the tunnel.  Every time a child went through it would trigger a speaker to make animal noises.

Lil’man also created his own Tot School activities.  The whole week he loved playing with the Tootsie Roll Pops.  He would use them as drum sticks.  He would stuff them up his sleeves or pants and then watch them fall out.  He also discovered the holes in my house shoes and decided it would be a good place to stick them. Then I showed him how they would fit in his Lego’s.  He really had fun playing with this particular Halloween item.

My favorite pictures from this week are of Lil’man eating his first sucker.  We didn’t let him finish it because he kept trying to bite it and I was afraid he was going to damage his baby teeth.  Look at how well he takes advantage of the gap between his two front teeth.

All in all it was a fun week in Tot School.  Come back next week to see what we’ve been up to. If you would like to see what other tots have been up to this week visit 1+1+1=1.

What sweet pictures of him with the sucker in his mouth! And I love the look on his face crawling out of the tunnel – looks like he had a fun time there!

My daughter discovered Tootsie Pops this Halloween and loves them now. She calls them moons. I am guessing because of the round shape. 🙂
