Tot School- Off the Cuff

Tot School

This week we got a little side tracked.  I don’t know how, seeing as we were stuck in the house all week due to snow, bitter cold weather, and a cough.  Yesterday, was the first time I had even stepped out of the house and that was to do grocery shopping…FUN TIMES!
This week we did do a few things, but nothing that was planned.  We just played and I took a few pictures.  One TV show that Lil’man has been into is Dinosaur Train, so we made a T-Rex puppet.  My husband used his many talents to create a template for me because I couldn’t find one I liked on the web.

Didn’t it turn out cute?

We also got into our costumes and pretended to be various animals.

I was a lion… hear me ROAR!  I think it fit!

I was writing a lesson to submit to Itty Bitty Bookworm, and one of the activities was to decorate a car, so that is just what we did. Lil’man first put his puppy stickers on. Then he place a sticker on top of each puppy.  I think he was making sure that each puppy had their own sticker.  Then he went crazy with the markers!

Finally, this week Lil’man as been really into playing with his letters from LeapFrog: Word Whammer Fridge Phonics.  I think he pulled these out every day.  Of course, he didn’t want me to show him how to make words….he is mister independent these days!

My favorite picture this week that my husband captured was this loving moment.

I don’t get snuggled up to much these days, so moments like these make me feel all mushy inside.

If you would like to see what other tots have been doing this week, then go check out 1+1+1=1.

Great T-rex puppet! I love Dinosaur Train, but my little one isn’t really into it yet. What a cute snuggle moment – we don’t have many of those around here anymore either!!

Oh my goodness, that last picture absolutely melts my heart!!! I say enlarge it and frame it!

We also LOVE Dinosaur Train over here (and thank you because now I’m singing the theme song! Ha!). I’ve been thinking about pulling together a week on dinosaurs. I think Maddie would love it.

I need to do a dinosaur theme too! I think Carisa made a Dinosaur Tot Book.
    Here is the link
    to
the templates we used this week if you want to make your own dinosaur
puppet…you could totally add a bow to make it a girly dinosaur.

Speaking of bows did you see my post about Bee Boppin’
    Bows…oh
my goodness they are adorable! I so want a little girl right now it is
    ridiculous!!! 🙂

For some reason, snowy/housebound weeks make it harder for me to get my act together, too! Maybe since there’s nowhere to go and nothing to do, there’s no motivation?

I love the dinosaur! He’s really cute…I almost wish there was a template!
