Tot School- MIA for awhile, but Back Again

Lil’Man was 28 months tot_school150

I know we have been missing for a month now, I think!  What can I say, I have just been a slacker.  We haven’t really had a set Tot School in a while.  I’ve just not taken the time to plan out activities for the boy to do.  Then when we have done some things I just didn’t pull out the camera to take pictures.  Finally, I just haven’t been in a blogging mood.  I am sure many of you have been in my shoes at one point or another.  Below, are some things that we have done over the last month.

This was a stART project we did.  Never posted it.  I don’t even remember the book we read that went with it. C’est la vie. This was the first time Lil’man painted with a paintbrush, I think. (Download My Snake Printable)

This next activity was designed by Lil’man.  He has been into markers lately and coloring on construction paper.  He is starting to get interested in writing as well, so at some point I will start introducing him to those pre-writing activities.  I figured that we can always use the colored on construction paper for another project.

Lil’man also came up with this activity.  As you can see he lined up all his cars on the windowsill and then I had him count them all by himself.  He did a great job.  He is finally making the connection between numbers and the amount of objects.

Another day, I had Lil’man go on a scavenger hunt for various color objects.  I saw this idea on a few blogs last summer, but I don’t remember which ones, so I apologize for not giving your credit…whoever you are.

This is my favorite picture from last month.  We were playing with his doctor bag and he was posing for me.  He has gotten so big.  I don’t know what happen to my little baby!IMG_4774
Don’t miss out on what other tots did this week at 1+1+1=1.

On another note:  I am giving away a $50 gift certificate to CSN Stores, so don’t forget to enter for a chance to win.

Been there with the Tot School & blogging breaks! We’re still getting back in the swing of things ourselves. I remember seeing that color matching activity with the construction paper too – still love it!!!

    The color hunt looks fun!

My little guy is very into lining up his toy tractors/trains on the window ledges now, too. Maybe it’s the age.

Do you recall where you found that snake pattern? We’re starting “S is for Snake” tomorrow, and that’s a fun little snake you made!

I love the scavenger hunt idea! And the snake craft, too – I was looking for another easy craft for this week, and I may just do that snake – so cute! 🙂

Also, I totally know what you mean about not wanting to plan/blog…I’ve been going through a similar phase lately, but I’m starting to get back into it. 🙂
