Spring!

This post may contain affiliate or advertiser links. Read my full disclosure policy .
Here is what we’ve been doing this week. Let us know what you think.  We hope by providing these materials to you free of charge, it will make your life easier!

Lesson Plan: The lesson plan includes all the lessons for the week, as well as optional ideas. Items following the lesson plan are just the printables or links to websites we used to teach these plans.  (Please note: On top of our lesson plan we are reading books daily that relate to our theme.)

Memory Verse: This memory card is for daily use during our calendar time.  You can learn more about calendar time at 1+1+1=1 or Homeschool Creations.  Our weekly devotional is an object lesson that will help your child apply the meaning of the verse to them.

Please Note– 4Shared is at it again. Some of the images of the printables below are missing words and/or pictures.  It doesn’t give a true representation of what you’ll download.

Day 1:
Spring Spelling- This activity will help your child begin to recognize that when letters are combined they form words.

Spring Spelling-1

Roll Graph Spring Clothes- This activity will introduce your child to data collection and interpretation. Make sure you bars are different colors for easier reading. Once you’ve completed the graph (first item to # of choice), make sure to ask simple questions.  Such as, “Which color is taller? What item is that?  Which color is shorter? Which item is that? How many times did we give the (item) a sticker?”  Make sure to show them how to use the graph, instead of just counting the stickers.

Dress for Spring- Allow your child to learn how to put on their clothes that they would wear in spring. Encourage them to try and do things on their own, but help if needed.

Day 2:
Sidewalk Chalk Letter Cleaning- Write letters on the sidewalk with chalk and then have your child trace over them with a wet rag to “clean” the sidewalk.

Cleaning Tool Patterns– This activity will help your child begin to recognize, describe and extend patterns.

Spring Cleaning– Have your child help you with some of your spring cleaning chores. For example, washing the windows, sweeping, packing their winter clothes away.

Day 3:
Garden Tools Beginning Sound Puzzles– This activity helps your child to focus in on the beginning letter sounds he/she hears.

Seed Estimation & Count– Have your child guess how many seeds they think are in the seed packages. Then open them up and count them to see if they were right. (Let your child count as many as they can and then help them with the rest.)

Start a Garden- Have your child help you plant your spring flowers or seeds in your garden. Or pretend to plant fake flowers and seeds in “dirt.”

We hope you enjoy these lesson plans and please let us know if you have any issues with downloading or using the items provided.

Please do not sell or host these files anywhere else. You MAY link people here. When leading others to these printables, please link to THIS page, not the 4shared file page.  Thanks! (See TOU)

Under “seed estimation and Count” it links a “roll and build snowman”.. I’m guessing there is an error? Same with “Start a Garden”..
    thanks

Thanks. Must have missed a few. Those links were suppose to be deleted. There shouldn’t be any links under any of those. Thanks again for the heads up, we’ll go back and delete them.
