Puddin’ Pictures

Tot School
Snack time is always after lil’man’s nap. Today as I was going through the cupboard I saw a individual size vanilla pudding. Click! A light bulb went on. I have be researching the web for various activities that I can do with lil’man. Through my research, I came across the idea of finger-painting with pudding. Completely safe and edible. Perfect for a “everything in mouth” toddler. (And pudding is so much cheaper than finger paint…even better.) I am sure many of you SAHMs out there already know this trick, but for this newbie I was stoked! So, as lil’man finished his afternoon snack, I got everything ready.
Puddin’ Paint
  • instant vanilla puddin’ (I used one individual pre-made cup)
  • food coloring of your choice
  • small cups for each color
  • a spoon
  • paper (I used card stock)
  • and last but not least LIL’ FINGERS

Lil’man had so much fun. He would scream with excitement and hold his fingers out to me to show what he did! He stayed cleaned for the most part. It wasn’t until I went to get my laptop to video chat with Mr. P (he had to see this), that lil’man began painting his belly and wiping his face. Of course, that just led us to water fun in the tub! I am definitely keeping this activity in my repertoire.

Painting with pudding is so much fun and if they eat it, it’s no biggie!! Love it! What a great idea to add food coloring to it!

I’m glad I found this post because it is perfect for our letter P week that we are doing right now. I will definitely be using it. I’ll be sure to link it back to you as well. I’m a newbie to this too so I haven’t tried this yet either.
