Cute Forest Books

This post may contain affiliate or advertiser links. Read my full disclosure policy .

We will be learning all about The Forest this week. Below are a couple of our favorites books that we have read, so far:

The Bravest of the BraveAffilation Link. is a cute story that follows a little skunk as he bravely counts his way through the deep, dark forest to get back home. As the skunk travels through the forest he comes across various forest animals. Although at first, he doesn’t know what animal it is, such as when he comes across the raccoon.  All he sees is  “1 masked face.” These clues offer a great opportunity to make predictions as you go along.  This is a fabulous reading strategy to introduce to your kiddo.  Ask your them, “What animal do you think the skunk sees?” On top of that, the rhyming text will make it easy to get your child participating with the book.

Whooo’s There?Affilation Link. is another wonderful story to read and discover what animals are creeping through the forest at night. In this story an old owl wants to know who is responsible for all the sights, sounds and even smells that he is experiencing.  The pictures and the rhyming text will make this another fun read for you child.

Here are a few other suggestions:
