Must Read- Valentine’s Day

This post may contain affiliate or advertiser links. Read my full disclosure policy .

This week we will be doing some fun Valentine’s Day activities.  Below are a couple of our favorites books that we have read, so far:

Buy on Amazon.

God Loves Me More Than That, Affilation Link. written by Dandi Daley Mackall and illustrated by David Hohn, seeks to illustrate the size of God’s love for us by drawing fun comparisons between simple, everyday occurrences and our Father’s compassion. Now this book isn’t Valentine specific, but it is all about LOVE, God’s love, so I had to share it!  This book, comprised of simple rhymes, follows a young boy as he looks beyond the ordinary to see how God’s love surpasses all. He sees that God’s love is high, “higher than the moon in a starless sky!” and wide, “wider than the prairies where the cowboys ride.” Each page introduces a new, completely original explanation for the extent of God’s love.  To top it of the illustrations could not possibly be any better!

Happy Valentine’s Day, Mouse!Affilation Link. is a probably a very familiar book to many of you.  We love all of Laura Numeroff  in “If You Give . . .” Book series.  In this story, our mouse is at it again.  This time he is making Valentine’s for all of his friends.  As he makes each one, he thinks about what he loves about them.  By the time he is ready to deliver them, he’s friends show up to give him a Valentine. Beware, after reading this book you may just have a kiddo asking to make their very own Valentine’s Day cards to give away.

Here are all the books we’re reading:

I LOVE the Biggest Valentine – so sweet! I also like The Day it Rained Hearts, and my son and I used to really enjoy Minnie and Moo Will You Be My Valentine by Denis Caz. It’s kind of cheeky, but that’s why we loved it! Its a little long for me to read at preschool, so I borrowed it from the library this year to read with my kids. I can’t wait for the giggles!
