The Gobble Gobble Game

This post may contain affiliate or advertiser links. Read my full disclosure policy .

Last year I got a little crafty with some construction paper and a marker.  The result was the “Gobble Gobble Game”.  Now, when we played this game I didn’t even have a blog!  I posted about this game in a note on Facebook.  The pictures aren’t the greatest, but you will get the idea!

I made this for E today. I think we’re going to laminate it and keep for next year and future kiddos. I call it the Gobble Gobble Game. I made the whole thing with construction paper and a black marker. The whole point of the game is for E to spin the spinner (I made it with a styrofoam plate) and then put the colored feather it lands on in the turkey. I made 6 feathers and the spinner has 8 spots. The two spots not devoted to a feather are “Gobble, Gobble” spots. If she spins and hits “Gobble Gobble” then we take out one of the feathers. She “wins” when the turkey has all its feathers. When she hits Gobble Gobble we sing this song to the tune of “Pop Goes the Weasel”.

“The turkey is a silly bird
Its head goes wobble, wobble
He only knows one funny word
Gobble, Gobble, Gobble!!!!”

If you are not feeling too crafty, you can still make the Gobble Gobble Game.  Download the Build a Turkey and skip the construction paper!  You’ll have 7 color choices with with the Build a Turkey.
