Fully Rely On God

This post may contain affiliate or advertiser links. Read my full disclosure policy .

This week our theme is Frogs!  Our verse comes from Psalms 59:9-10.

“You, God, are my fortress, my God on whom I can rely. ”

Materials:

  • A stuffed frog, or a picture of one (like the one on the memory card)

Directions:

  • Say the verse above with your tot.  We suggest that you print the verse off and use it every morning with your calendar time.  If you don’t do calendar time still say the verse each morning with your tot before you begin tot school.
  • Follow the cues given in this devotional.

Talk with your child about the following:
This week we’ve been learning about frogs.  Did you know that frogs can help us remember something very special about God.  Each letter in the word FROG can remind us to Fully Rely On God.  Can you say that with me?  Fully Rely On God.

When we fully rely on God that means that we let Him take care of stuff that is too big for us to handle on our own.  It means that we let Him help us feel better when we’re scared, or sad.  We can also rely on God when we don’t know what to do.  Relying on God is easy really.  We rely on God when we pray to Him and ask Him to help us.  Let’s pray right now and ask God to help us today to rely on Him.

Dear God, please help us to know that we can rely on you in everything.  Help us to trust you no matter what happens, or how we are feeling.  We know you are bigger, and we know that we can rely on you.  Amen

Questions to ask:

  • What does the word FROG remind us to do? Fully Rely On God
  • Who should rely on? God
