Ok, so this week really has me stoked. I LOVE being able to teach E about Space, and its a theme that I thought we could really get into.
I looked on the internet for some east Space themed snack ideas. I found this one from Muffin Tin Mom…and then I tweaked it. We made cheese stars, space food (which was popcorn), chocolate meteors, and Earth Cookies (Which were better in concept and ended up blue cookies without green icing…but that’s a tale for another day!)
E thoroughly enjoyed licking the icing off of the cookies.
We had green milk with our snack, which I called “alien juice”. E seemed to like that. Its just regular milk with 3 drops of green food coloring…
We settled in to watch a movie as a family. We watched the first little bit of Planet 51 before E completely lost interest. It was over her head, and it has a PG rating. We switched to Math Adventure to the Moon from Leap Frog, and that was perfect fit.
Here are some movies for your movie night. We encourage you to preview any movie before watching with your family and decide what’s best for you.
Hope you have a great night!
