Dinosaur Field Trip

This post may contain affiliate or advertiser links. Read my full disclosure policy .
This week we are creating some fun dinosaur printables for you.  We can’t wait to share them.

As Amber and I were discussing the unit, I was reminded about the dinosaur field trip that my family took last year.  My husband and I took the boy to see some life size animatronic dinosaurs that had been on display at our local zoo.  When we got home, my husband and I had a blast working together to create this little slide show.

Although, we didn’t capture any pictures of the boy’s wonderment, he really did enjoy looking at these extinct animals.  Of course, he preferred to view them from the comfort and security of his daddy’s arms.  As long as Daddy was holding him, he was fine. Well, except when one of the dinos decided to surprise them by spraying water at them.   All in all, it was a fun trip.

Do you have a dinosaur exhibit in your area?  Please share.  Another reader may not have realized there was one so close to them.  Thanks.

I think this looks so great.  I think my son will love it, but I can’t open it.  Is there any other way to receive the files?  Thanks

For those who maybe in or around Bozeman, Mt there is the Museum of the Rockies. They have a HUGE selection of dinosaur exhibits and interactive displays. It is seriously just as cool to me now as when I was a kid.

This last time we even got to see some people working on unearthing their fossils. It is behind some glass and you can see it so clearly.

If you are ever in the area look them up at https://www.museumoftherockies.org/

There’s a dino exhibit just outside of Tampa, FL in Plant City (just looked at their website and they also have one in Glen Rose, TX and Cave City, KY).  It’s a bunch of “life size” dinos and a few interactive exhibits like digging for fossils.
I put life size in quotes because some of the dinos are actually larger then they should be. Still a lot of fun though!

Last year we took our kids to the Jacksonville zoo in Fla . It had a lot of nice size real life dinosaurs on display and you could also walk around a climb on an exhibit and they have a store that shows you how they built them .
