This week, as you know, we are expanding our Dental Theme printables. I’ve found some fabulous ideas that can be use in independent centers.
Games
File Folder Games are always a big hit, especially with the younger tots. Use this activity to have your kiddo match the shape on the toothbrush to the shape on the kiddos shirt.

Arts & Crafts
Use this tooth template to draw a tooth on a piece of yellow construction paper. Have your kiddo “clean the tooth” by painting it white. To spice it up even more, give your kiddo an old toothbrush that he can use instead of a paintbrush. Once it dries, cut it out.
Pretend Play
When one is learning about a community helper, it is always fun to pretend to have that job. Some things you might want to include in this drama center of sorts are: doctor’s coat (we used an old undershirt of Daddy’s), tiny dentist mirrors (these can be purchased at the grocery store), clean toothbrushes, a desk lamp with a flexible stand, paper towels and stuff animals or dolls. Making Learning Fun has some free printables that you’ll definitely want to include in this dramatic play area. Oh, and don’t forget to tell your kiddo to not put things in their mouth, but to just pretend with the props.

Hope you have fun.
I just love your themes…keep them coming!
I seriously cannot believe that you posted this specific theme today as I was just thinking about putting some type of dental hygiene(ish) type lesson for our little one as she was “brushing” her teeth this morning. What a treat! Thanks!
Well, stay tuned today. Our printables will go up later this afternoon.
We love your theme printables, we are in Venezuela and I teach my littles with your printables. They ask for more always! thanks
Thank you thank you thank you. Just created out dental helth prop box with loads of your ideas. I did not put in small toothbrushes as we have 12 3 yr olds. Instead I made a toothbrush out of a paint stick and a dry erase marker and added a laminated tooth. Love the appt sheet and the moth chart . Much better than the one I have from the dental office. Too complicated! Hurray 2 teaching mommies!!
Awesome! I’m so glad we were able to point you to some fabulous free resources!
Aww. Thanks Joanna. So, glad your kiddos enjoy them.
Thanks. Feel free to share any theme suggestions you might have…I feel like I’m running out of ideas.
Hello,
I love this game and wanted to make more copies of it but your hosting website says it is down. Any chance this could be moved so we could use it again? It’s such a good resource!!!
Thank you,
Rachel
Rachel- Thanks so much for letting me know about the broken link. I have fixed it and you should now be able to download the activity. Let me know if you run into any more issues.
