You’ll use this lesson 1 day before Easter. You’ll be using the tenth resurrection egg, which is blue (color may vary) and will have a small rock on the inside.
Before you do the lesson we recommend that you read a short segment about the burial of Christ. We will be using The Beginner’s Bible
Talk with your child about the story:
Let’s open our egg and see what’s inside. Do you know what that is? It is a rock. Why do you think that is in our egg today? Let’s think back to our story today. At the very end of our story Jesus’ friends laid him in a tomb. They loved Jesus and they wanted to keep His body from being hurt anymore. Do you remember what some of the soldiers pushed in front of the tomb? That’s right, they pushed a big rock in front of the tomb so that no one could get in or out. They were very sad, but they would soon find out that Jesus had a big surprise for them!
