Chpt 9 Educating the WholeHearted Child

This was a really short chapter and quick read. Although, my family has many years before we have a youth, I found this chapter eye opening. It is definitely a chapter that I will need to read again when my child becomes a teen.

I really loved the focus on helping your child find their calling. God has given us our children to disciple and to help guide through this world, so they can be His instrument.  Its exciting and nerve wrecking at the same time.  I know it is a task I cannot do on my own strength.  It requires a daily surrender of my pride, control and insecurities.

I have no idea how to navigate these waters of parenthood, but I know the One who does.  I pray that God will open my eyes to the gifts He has given my sons, and show me ways I can provide them with opportunities to develop them.

Do you have youth (young adults) in your home? How do you prepare your child for their calling?
