In our family, we’re big fans of children’s books. It’s not unusual for us to have 20 or more picture books on loan from the library to go along with our own growing collection of titles. Picture books are great for sparking a child’s imagination, but they are also useful for reinforcing ideas and values […]

While many artists preferred medium is paint and canvas our son opts for magnet and metal shavings. He’s found that the temporary nature of the Magna-Doodle provides for a virtually endless supply of materials. Below are some of the boy’s latest works. They are from his “My Family” collection. His subjects were his parents, of […]

Handwriting, Counting & Eggs

This week I didn’t plan anything except our daily resurrection egg’s lesson and activities.  We did however throw a couple of random activities in because the boy wanted me to print him some activities.  I’m definitely not going to stand in the boy’s way of wanting to learn, so I quickly found some non-prep activities. […]

Tot School goes Bacterial

This week we got a little distracted from Tot School due to a bacterial infection on the boy’s skin, yet to be named. We should get test results back Monday.  We think it could be a staph infection because we’ve been exposed to it recently.  Pray you never have to deal with this.  It is […]

Did you know that vitamin D plays an important role in immune function? Yep. Vitamin D is just one of the many ways you can support your immune system. A few of my friends and I will be sharing more ways you can be proactive with your health and your family’s during the winter months tonight. Come learn what has helped us.

You all, it is so important to do everything you c You all, it is so important to do everything you can to make sure to maintain your health and your family's too this season. My family and I always take proactive steps in the winter. Honestly, the steps we have taken in the past have kept my family healthy and we rarely get sick. This year we are adding some extra things to help support our immune system. I've had several people asked me what I'm doing, so a few of my friends and I are actually going to have a little sharing session this Wednesday night (8:15 EST). We will be sharing all the ways we stay proactive with our health, especially in the winter. We'll have some practical tips, as well as some, must-haves to keep on hand to help your family stay above that wellness line.

It's happening this Wednesday (11/18) at 8:15 pm EST. Let me know if you want in and I will get you the dets.

We will be talking about essential oils, but there are so many other things we do as well. We will have a packet for everyone that comes, so you won't have to worry about your hand cramping from all the notes you'll want to write down!
You all, I can't believe it is November! However, You all, I can't believe it is November! However, I'm so glad it is because I am tired of all the crazy this year and I need to change my attitude! I'm going to be intentional this month and practice gratitude.

Here's the thing, I think you should join me because research studies show that finding a bit of thankfulness each day can actually increase your happiness level and decrease depression!! It also increases physical health (hello cold & flu season), brain function, and a sense of fulfillment. I know, with everything going on in the world right now I could use a little more of ALL of that!

So, who's with me? What are you thankful for today?

🍂Today I am thankful for the colorful fall leaves swirling by my windows. 🍂
I love this reminder from the Lord! Last week was I love this reminder from the Lord!

Last week was our first week back to homeschool. And I think it is safe to say that we all dealt with an array of emotions that week. I had to give myself a timeout the first day!! So, this reminder is perfect as we begin this week

After evaluating how things went I can see that it was my thoughts and attitude that was the ultimate cause of my feelings of frustration and irritation. Things weren’t going the way I had planned.

I mean, let’s be honest this year isn’t really going as any of us have planned. Am I right?

Here’s the thing, we have a choice in how we think, and since our thoughts affect our emotions, we have a choice in how we feel.

But praise the Lord we don’t have to let our circumstances dictate our attitude or the the way we think!

WHO ELSE NEEDS THE SPIRIT TO RENEW THEIR THOUGHTS AND ATTITUDE THIS WEEK?
