Bible Verses that Bring Comfort

This post may contain affiliate or advertiser links. Read my full disclosure policy .

Since the death of Griffin, I have clung to Jesus.  I needed to constantly remind myself of His truth.  Without it, my grief would overcome me.   I wanted to keep a record of what has brought me comfort these last few weeks.  I pray these verses may be a  reminder of the HOPE we have in […]

Leaving an Imprint

Holding the tiny, lifeless body of our son Griffin in the moments after he was delivered was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. There was nothing we could do to save him. God had already taken him to his eternal home in heaven. But we wanted him here with us. Tears flooded my eyes and […]

A Time for Sorrow

It is with heavy heart that I announce the birth of our son, Griffin Jeremiah. He was born, January 8, at 7:27 a.m., but he was already in his Heavenly Father’s arms. Wednesday morning we went in for a regularly scheduled ultrasound hoping to learn the gender of the baby. Instead, we were heartbroken to discover that he […]

A Snowy Day

Monday was our first official snow for the winter…well fall. I don’t recall ever getting snow before Thanksgiving since I’ve lived here and it was a great first snow. We got almost 3″, shattering our old record of .3″ set back in 1951. Of course we took full advantage of it. Even Daddy had to […]

A Long Rough Month

You may or may not have been curious as to what has been going on in our lives this last month.  Well, life has been busy and I have been struggling with a lot of nausea. Yes, that type of nausea…I’m pregnant.  This pregnancy has hit me hard and we’ve had to make several adjustments.  However, it […]

Oh my goodness, friend.  I don’t know about you, but my September has been a doozy.  It really all started the last week of August.  I was knocked down. Here’s a little glimpse into the crazy. Allergies came on with a vengeance.  Took additional purifiers, allergy meds, nasal spray and 10+ days to get them […]

Cast Your Fears on The Lord

The new school year is quickly approaching and I don’t know about you, but I’m starting to feel the pressure.  And well, its overwhelming. Now mind you, I had several reasons for feeling overwhelmed: I got terrible sleep Saturday night due to a fussy baby. I still haven’t even started to look through our curriculum this […]

Anticipating the Worst

I’ve been a bit anxious this week, so God has been teaching me some things. Things about my nature.  Things He wants to remove from me. Here’s the BIG thing.  I’m a worrier.  I get anxious about a lot of things.  Just ask my husband. But, what is anxiety really? Its fear about the future. […]

Big Days Ahead

I’ve written about Lil’Bro and his heart condition before.  Fortunately with the help of medication, he has not had any episodes of SVT (supraventricular tachycardia or rapid heart rate of 300+ bpm), since he left the NICU at 1 month of age.  Praise God! Today I’m writing because we could definitely use some prayers, if […]

Tangled Mess

That’s how I would describe the last 24 hours.  You see, yesterday my son was looking a lot like Neo from The Matrix.     With WPW, Lil’Bro has had several 24 hour Holter tests done.  However, this was the first one he’s had since he started moving around more.  You would think they would have […]

You all, it is so important to do everything you c You all, it is so important to do everything you can to make sure to maintain your health and your family's too this season. My family and I always take proactive steps in the winter. Honestly, the steps we have taken in the past have kept my family healthy and we rarely get sick. This year we are adding some extra things to help support our immune system. I've had several people asked me what I'm doing, so a few of my friends and I are actually going to have a little sharing session this Wednesday night (8:15 EST). We will be sharing all the ways we stay proactive with our health, especially in the winter. We'll have some practical tips, as well as some, must-haves to keep on hand to help your family stay above that wellness line. It's happening this Wednesday (11/18) at 8:15 pm EST. Let me know if you want in and I will get you the dets. We will be talking about essential oils, but there are so many other things we do as well. We will have a packet for everyone that comes, so you won't have to worry about your hand cramping from all the notes you'll want to write down!
You all, I can't believe it is November! However, You all, I can't believe it is November! However, I'm so glad it is because I am tired of all the crazy this year and I need to change my attitude! I'm going to be intentional this month and practice gratitude. Here's the thing, I think you should join me because research studies show that finding a bit of thankfulness each day can actually increase your happiness level and decrease depression!! It also increases physical health (hello cold & flu season), brain function, and a sense of fulfillment. I know, with everything going on in the world right now I could use a little more of ALL of that! So, who's with me? What are you thankful for today? 🍂Today I am thankful for the colorful fall leaves swirling by my windows. 🍂

I love this reminder from the Lord! Last week was I love this reminder from the Lord! Last week was our first week back to homeschool. And I think it is safe to say that we all dealt with an array of emotions that week. I had to give myself a timeout the first day!! So, this reminder is perfect as we begin this week After evaluating how things went I can see that it was my thoughts and attitude that was the ultimate cause of my feelings of frustration and irritation. Things weren’t going the way I had planned. I mean, let’s be honest this year isn’t really going as any of us have planned. Am I right? Here’s the thing, we have a choice in how we think, and since our thoughts affect our emotions, we have a choice in how we feel. But praise the Lord we don’t have to let our circumstances dictate our attitude or the the way we think! WHO ELSE NEEDS THE SPIRIT TO RENEW THEIR THOUGHTS AND ATTITUDE THIS WEEK? #allthefeels #scripture4atm #mommymeltdown #bibleverseoftheday #homeschoolmom #backtoschool #attitudeiseverything #emotionsresetchallenge #joycomesinthemorning #whatwefocusongrows #gratitudeattitude
