This giveaway is now closed! Thanks to all those who entered!
With the summer upon us, many of you will be taking the kiddos off to see a movie. Our kids are just like yours, and they are just now getting to the age where a trip to the movies is a big treat. We recently had an opportunity to go and see an advanced screening of Disney/Pixar’s Cars 2.

The movie was a big hit with E and Lil’ Man. Cars 2 has a lot of action (much more than its predecessor) and the plot may have skimmed right over their little noggins, but they still had a blast. If you kiddo loves Cars then Cars 2 is sure to delight. You’ll love seeing Mater have a go at the spotlight, because really, this movie belongs to him. If you have the chance to see it in 3D, it really was E’s favorite part of the movie, but the film is sure to leave a smile on your face in 2D.
Before or after the movies you can check out the awesome activity pack for kids created by Disney/Pixar! It includes Mazes, Soap Box Dragster Activities, T-shirt Designs, a Radiator Springs Play Set and much, much more!
Now, as for the giveaway ONE lucky reader will receive the fabulous prize pack below which includes a youth t-shirt (choose from S, M, L & XL), temporary tattoo sheets (2), 3 bumper stickers, and a puzzle!

I’m sad that you are promoting this movie. From the preview alone, I found this movie to be too violent, using “bombs” and “guns”. Though of course it’s always a matter of opinion, but as a Kindergarten teacher I find these movies to be too influential to my future students. I think this movie should earn a PG not G rating.
On another note I do love your site, and was just shocked to see you loved this movie.
Jen,
We are so sorry that you are disappointed. Thank you though for having the courage of conviction to express your concerns in such a public forum. We always encourage parents to make the best possible decisions for their kiddos, and to preview and screen everything that their children watch. We stand by that with this movie.
We have in the past endorsed several movies we know some of our readers won’t particularly be fond of, like several other Disney features and Charlie Brown movies. We are doing our best to raise our children to be in the world, and not of it. We won’t always make the best decision, but you can be assured it won’t be made lightly! Our minds will be changed through the Lord’s grace and mercy, and there very well may come a day where we re-evaluate some of the things we do in our walk as parents.
I am sure we can all agree that we won’t endorse what every other parent does with raising their kids. Likewise, I think we can also agree that if you are reading this site chances are good that you value your children as a gift from the Lord, and that you will do everything in your power to raise them up in the way they should go! We will continue to do our best to encourage mommies as they do just that. In addition we will encourage others to extend to us the same grace and mercy we seek from our Heavenly Father.
In Christ,
Amber
First of all, I, too, want to express how wonderful it is to see Jen standing up for her values.
Amber, your reply is evident of your desire to see Christ work in & through you. You’re right. We won’t always make the right choices, but we attempt to weigh them not on things of this world but on the Word of God.
I look forward to seeing this movie to gain my own view, but I just wanted to say how much I appreciate seeing both of your hearts in your replies…and how much I love this site!
