Since the death of Griffin, I have clung to Jesus. I needed to constantly remind myself of His truth. Without it, my grief would overcome me. I wanted to keep a record of what has brought me comfort these last few weeks. I pray these verses may be a reminder of the HOPE we have in Jesus, especially when the circumstances of this life just seem too much.
My mourning isn't over yet, so this post will be a work in progress. I pray God's truth will breath peace and comfort into you as you face the hardships of life.

Romans
Romans 5:3-5

Romans 8:17-18
Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.

2 Corinthians
2 Corinthians 4:16-18
Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
Hebrews
Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
What verses bring you comfort?
I'd love for you to share in the comments any bible verses that I haven't included that bring you comfort. I know they would be a blessing to me and maybe others who visit this post.
A dear friend’s infant son (19 days younger than my own) died suddenly in September. Three days after his death, I posted the following on my (generally very neglected) blog: https://tojesusirepair.com/?p=135 It has a mix of Scripture and my own thoughts. I hope that it can be an encouragement to you, and I am praying for you and your family. *hugs*
Thank you so much Amanda. Your prayers are greatly appreciated.
