Back to School Writing Prompts

This post may contain affiliate or advertiser links. Read my full disclosure policy .

Last year, I wasn’t excited about the writing curriculum we used…which means we didn’t do much writing. This year we are trying WriteShop.  However, on our theme days I plan to incorporate some theme related writing prompts.

So, I’ve thrown together a new prompt pack, perfect for the first week of school.

Now, we do not do all of these.  A matter of fact we only do one…the one my son chooses.  If he wants to do more than one (which has yet to happen) I’d be more than happy to let him.

How do you get your kids excited about writing?
