Another Month of Weight

This post may contain affiliate or advertiser links. Read my full disclosure policy .

Wow this past month has flown by, but I can’t say that about those extra pounds. The last time I check in with you I had 8lbs to go.  This past month I only lost 3lbs.  A lost is a lost right, but it wasn’t what I was hoping to achieve.

5lbs to go

Previous Goal Check-In

-Reduce calorie intake and start counting calories using MyFitnessPal.

  • I’ve been pretty good about staying on top of tracking my calories and staying within my daily allotment, but there was a week I didn’t do to well. There were several celebrations and parties.  I need to better prepare myself for facing those types of situations, especially when I don’t know what the calories might be.

-Be consistent at doing my transverse abdominal exercises I read about in the book, Lose Your Mummy’s Tummy.

  • I slacked off in this area too.  I did do some of the exercises, while sitting at stop lights.  I got that idea from Peak313. Other than that, they rarely happened.

-Drink a gallon of water a day.

  • I did this for a few days.  It is so hard to remember to drink water.  I was lucky if I got in 8 glasses, let alone a gallon!

No New Goals

I’ve got to stay on top of these goals before throwing another one in.

Overall, I started drifting this month.  I need to get back on the saddle as they say.  Here’s hoping next month is better.

Are you trying to lose weight?  How do you motivate yourself to get back into the grove?
