About Our Devotionals

This post may contain affiliate or advertiser links. Read my full disclosure policy .
Each children’s devotional is meant to be something you can do with your child.  The devotionals at 2 Teaching Mommies go right along with the memory verse for the week, and should accompany our unit plans and work with their theme.

Children can handle the sometimes challenging truths of scripture, and should be encouraged in learning them from the very beginning.  I have found that object lessons work very well in conveying the difficult concepts of scripture, but doing so in a theologically sound way. The devotions are set up and intended to be used as object lessons, so there will be an accompanying activity or game for you to use with your child and the devotional.

While some of the lessons may seem repetitive, they really are intended to be so! Children pick up on what they hear over and over again. If during the devotion you do with your child you feel like a broken record, take heart! If you are saying it over and over again, they are hearing Biblical truth over and over again! What a wonderful form of repetition!

In addition to the children’s devotionals there are accompanying mommy devotionals for you.  As mommies we know that you want your children to have a walk with Christ, and its important that you foster your relationship with your Savior, too.  The mommy devotionals will also pertain to the memory verse your child is learning, but will delve deeper and expand on the passages our verses are taken from.  We hope they will edify you and encourage you as you guide your child.

2 Teaching Mommies Terms of Use apply to both of our devotionals and their use.  If you have any questions feel free to contact us and we’ll be sure and respond!
