With engaging stories from well-known authors such as Kathi Lipp, Pam Farrel, Lisa Samra, and others, you’ll learn how to pray for your son’s development of character, courage, self-control, forgiveness, and more.” (Revell)

Overall Thoughts
A Mom’s Prayers for Her Son  is a great resource to turn to when your wondering how to pray for your son.  I don’t know about you, but I seem to pray for the same things, so this book is a great resource for providing different areas to cover your son in prayer. I love that I can just pull out this book, skim the table of contents for an area my son is currently struggling with and find a prayer that would fit my needs.  However, some of the prayers are a little too specific and may not fit every child.  For example, my son is 6 and chapter 10 starts with:

He has fears about his circumstances, that they will overwhelm him and be more than he can handle.  He feels alone in his struggle and sometimes wonders if his prayers make a difference…

I’m not sure that my son will be feeling this way when he’s going through a storm.  However, the prayer can be easily adapted to fit your child’s specific situation.

Overall, this is a fabulous resource to have on hand and to guide you while praying for your son(s).
